Another over riding concern is your participation in government. We encourage you to elect cost conscience individuals to office in order to end the tax and spend fiasco common to most municipalities.

We would like to see transparity for public records  (online access for  spending, salaries … for amounts over $1,000) and accountabe government  that reflect their community standards. If the surrounding community rides around in jalopies, so should the town government. If the average person in the community has to work 45 years before being pensioned, so should the elected government. If your kids lean to vocational training, musical training, computer and scientific curriculum, etc. they should have school choice.

In lieu of a bloated department of public works, new maintenance vehicles for every worker, health and pension benefits temporary workers are less expensive. If a number of community jobs needs to be done, hire a carpenter from the union for a few days and lay him off. 

Trade unions are not like monopoly state unions. A union carpenter only gets paid when he works, he supplies his own tools and transportation, doesn’t get paid for sick days or holidays. If you don’t like the way he works, fire him and hire a better carpenter, painter, mason, electrician … from the union hall. When the job is finished, get rid of him. That's what a trade union is about.
